In Memoriam: Mark Medoff

In Memoriam: Mark Medoff
The NMSU Department of Theatre Arts and the American Southwest Theatre Company honor the memory of Mark Medoff, 1940-2019. Mark Medoff served the NMSU Department of Theatre Arts for many years, and the department achieved a strong reputation under his skilled leadership.
Mark was dedicated to students and their education, and introduced so many of them into the profession.
In addition, he sought out the best faculty and staff possible for NMSU Theatre, and some of his hand-picked faculty are still with us today.
Mark was the driving force that created The American Southwest Theatre Company, and we owe him a debt of gratitude for this organization which continues to support our students to this day.
We offer our sincere condolences to his family and vast network of friends, as his parting is a great loss to us and to the entire artistic community.
In his honor, our current show, My Fair Lady, will be dedicated to Mark Medoff, with signage in our lobby. This show takes place in the theatre named the Mark and Stephanie Medoff Theatre, in the ASNMSU Center for the Arts, and will forever remain as a tribute to his impressive legacy.
